“WHAT RAPE DID TO MY SEX LIFE”

“WHAT RAPE DID TO MY SEX LIFE”

An innocent night out with friends turned into a devastating tragedy that this 25-year-old reader will never forget. But, reading this blog really made you firmed, attentive and more efficient in making self-awareness to each in every one, said this female happened to her life since she was being rape and how it was being reflect to her. Get this story from her. As she emailed and elaborate those stories behind the miserable things that happened to her life to Harold-nesmith.blogspot.com.

It happened in April 2004, when I was 18 years old. I was sitting in the garden at a friend pool party, talking to a guy I’d meet through a mutual friend. He was 19 and athletic type cropped hair, in great shape and was flirting with me pretty heavily. But, I had a single set on another guy at the time, so in spite of how cute he was, I wasn’t really interested.

When I hot up to go to the bathroom inside the house, he followed me. Since the guest bathroom was in use. I went instead to the bathroom on the second floor. We talked for a few minutes in the hallway, then all of a sudden, he grabbed me and started to kiss me. I didn’t want to cause a scene, so I didn’t fight him or scream. But as he began getting more aggressive, it was clear that he wanted things to progress.

“Um, I want to go back outside now,” I told him, pushing back.
“No,” he said, bluntly. “   I want to have sex,” I felt my stomach drop.

I tried to get up, but he learned over, forced me on my back, and helped me down by my arms. Once I was pinned, he flipped up my skirt, pulled my panties to the side and started raping me. As he overpowered me, I was in such total shock that I couldn’t fight back. Worse, I knew no one could see or hear us because everyone was outside, with the music on full blast.

The whole thing lasted about five minutes, and when it was over, I got up and hurried back to the pool area, leaving him sitting on the stairs. He emerged about 20 minutes later but he walked past me without stopping. I didn’t breathe a word of what happened to anyone. I just sat there with my friends in a daze until we left.

GETTING GRILLED

I choked down the memory for about three months. But one day, I couldn’t swallow it anymore. I was talking to my girlfriends (who weren’t at the party that night) about sex and STD’s and suddenly out everything came. They urged me to tell the police, and one accompanied me to the nearest precinct to help me report it.

When I spoke to the police, I wasn’t very cooperative. They threatened to tell my parents what had happened if I didn’t talk about it (I told my mom after that, but my dad still doesn’t know), and they interview me in the dark room with a spotlight beaming onto my face. They were unsympathetic and impatient as they coldly asked me his name, what happened, and tons of others graphic, intimate details about the night. I felt more like a criminal than a victim.

I knew only his first name and the school he went to ---- I hadn’t asked my friends for his last name since I wanted to keep them in the dark about everything and avoid a potential rift between us. My friends showed me a yearbook of the guys school and asked me if any of the guys with his did, so I told my friend---and the police---never heard from the police again, and my friends agreed to just drop it.

THE AFTERMATH

The rape left me feeling  pretty confirmed about sex, I’d slept with one guy before it happened, and sex was really new and exciting for me them. But after being raped, I just didn’t feel the same. My excitement dulled, and everything seemed tainted. I started feeling like when a guy was interested in me, it was solely on a physical level---that he couldn’t possibly want anything else other than just sex.

After it happened, I found myself rushing into sexual situations. On weekends, I would go to party, meet a
guy who was a friend of a friend, and end up going home with him. Most guys turned out to be one-night stands; others fizzled out after several hook-ups. Part of me knew that what I was doing was reckless, although I think that was part of the appeal, at least in the moment. I wanted to be apathetic and rebellious. Plus, since I thought that sex was all guys wanted from a girl, it was thrilling to give that to them.

Deep down, though, I was ashamed of having sex with people I barely knew. I was well aware that there was a gap between what I wanted (a boyfriend) and what I was getting (less-than-intimate sex), so while I enjoyed it physically and liked pleasing men, I also felt sadness, loneliness, fear, and embarrassment.

12 Things No one Told me about sex after RAPE...

There is a strange sort of unspoken theory that once a woman has been raped, sex is no longer a viable option for her. Sex has been replaced by trauma, fear, pain, and anxiety. I’m not saying this is never the case. Every survivor’s story and experience is different, but too often the assumption is that if you have been raped, you are sexually broken and forever unfixable. That sort of discourse is not healthy or empowering or even sympathetic. What I want to say is what I wish I had been told: rape is not a form of sex, it is a form of assault. Sex feels good. Assault is traumatizing. It is possible for sex to exist after rape because they are different experiences, just like it’s possible for you to still enjoy going out to eat even if you got food poisoning once. You might never go back to that restaurant again, but it doesn’t mean you will get food poisoning every time you go out.

1. Nobody tells you that you’ll feel guilty the first time you have a crush on a guy after your rape. Aren’t you supposed to hate men now? I mean, ugh, penises are evil and one ruined your life. You shouldn’t even be thinking about boys. That’s what got you in trouble in the first place. (Oh, hey rape culture, how’d you get here?)
2. Nobody tells you that you’ll be called a tease when you draw the line at making out. Even though you’re pretty proud of yourself for this minor victory on your path to regaining any confidence in expressing your sexuality, some people will think you’re a prude because you won’t take off your pants.
3. Nobody tells you that the first time you do take off your pants in front of a potential partner you’ll cry almost immediately and put them back on, leaving without an explanation. You’ll feel embarrassed and stupid and you’ll wonder if you’re ever going to be capable of intimacy ever again.
4. Nobody tells you that masturbation is a healing practice (OK, maybe your therapist suggested it once or twice) and that realizing you’re capable of sexual satisfaction after rape is an incredible, powerful feeling. Sometimes it takes a while to feel wholly reunited with your body in this way, and you’re allowed to take all the time you need. Sexual exploration is a journey, not a destination.
5. Nobody tells you that your PTSD symptoms will be scoffed at. Your boundaries will be called “arbitrary” and you will be accused of “wielding sex as a weapon” and “putting yourself on a pedestal.” Someone should tell you that people who say these things are the worst type of people to be around. They have no right to make you feel ashamed, but they will. If they have the potential to get angry about the choices you make about what you do with your body, they are not worth your time or energy or thought or love. But nobody tells you that.
6. Nobody tells you that the ‘rape talk’ will be a thing that has to happen before any romantic relationship gets too serious. Nobody lets you know that immature men will freak out and refer to your rape as “baggage” when they cut things off. And unfortunately, nobody mentions that some men will hold your hand and weep with you when you tell them, because they can’t believe anyone would be capable of hurting you.
7. Nobody tells you that there are men who are patient and kind. Some men will listen and support you and they will read and research and seek to understand. They will ask you what you like and what you don’t like, they will be explicit about their concerns, and they will treat you with respect and dignity.
8. Nobody tells you that the first few times you try sex again it might not go well. You might have a panic attack or a flashback, and you might scream or shake or cry or throw up or all of the above. What they should tell you is that the right partner will stroke your back or make you tea or hold your hair back for you. He’ll leave if he’s asked and he’ll keep his phone on him so you can talk if you need to.
9. Nobody tells you that the first time you successfully, enjoyably have sex again is empowering, and freeing, and overwhelming. Even if it only lasts two minutes, it will feel like an enormous victory. You will be happy in a way you weren’t sure you would be happy again.
10. Nobody tells you that it doesn’t work that way every time. PTSD isn’t cured by one blissful experience, and anxiety is a bitch. Sometimes you will burrow down deep in your comforter and wish you could just be NORMAL and have NORMAL sex like a NORMAL person. And it is frustrating. But you will remember that one bad experience does not negate your ability to have future good experiences. And you will drink your tea and feel better.
11. Nobody tells you that people are capable of loving you after you’ve been raped, and that you are capable of loving back. You are allowed to give yourself to someone completely. Likewise, you are allowed to hold back. You are allowed to be fearful but you are also allowed to trust again. Your healing process is your own and regardless of how you get there, know that as long as you are taking care of yourself, nobody has any right to tell you differently.
12. Nobody tells you that just because he’s the first boy you slept with since your rape doesn’t mean you have to fall in love with him. You don’t “owe” anyone else your love or happiness or body. You can be thankful and appreciative and comfortable, but if he’s not “the one,” don’t settle just because he treated you better than your rapist.

You’re going to have good days and bad days. You’re going to have good sex and bad sex. But you’re still alive, and I just thought maybe someone should tell you.

It is your choice to do what you want with your life!

...But your life is like money handed over to you. It was given to make an investment. Will you use it to gain interest, by making the investment as your life was intended to make, or will you use it up, gaining nothing in the end?

The Giver of your life is the True Owner of what has been given, thus, it is not actually your life. Its usage has only been given unto you so that you may fulfill the purpose of why it was given. What then, would He think of you, if you came back with no interest from what was supposed to be used as an investment, all because you rather spend than to invest?

Dutchee-Monkey-Cop Cry

am disturbed by some of the Filipino's reactions towards that white Dutch guy who "yelled" at the "crying cop" during the SONA rally. I've been following and analyzing this story for several days now, including the comments left on the news sites. All I have seen were comments of racism, hate, and violence. Some called him a white monkey, others said he should shut up just because he is foreign, and beyond those racist remarks, many called for his execution, or even threatened to kill him themselves if they met him. Why? Because they saw a photo of him on the internet that looked like he was yelling at a cop and making the cop cry.

But that is not what happened. People have gotten the story twisted and confused just because they looked at it at face-value. They judged a book by its cover and then reacted in an irrational, and, for some, an immoral manner.

The journalists involved in capturing the photo and interviewing the Dutch and the crying cop have the truth. First off, during the SONA rally, either the activist or the police started the violence. Who did it? I don't know. What I do know, based on the journalist who took the photo, was that the Dutch guy angrily ASKED the crying cop WHY they police were beating the activist. He was asking a question out of anger towards the violence he saw displayed by the police. This may be perceived as rude, but his question and anger was NOT to insult the crying cop. It was to question the violent behavior of the PNP confronting the activists. The crying cop, though, was a good cop, not a bad cop. He wasn't the one beating the activists. The Dutch guy just so happened to angrily question the wrong cop who wasn't hurting anyone. As for the cop, why did he cry? Because he said that they hadn't had any food nor rest. This is NOT because the Dutch guy "yelled" at him making him feel insulted. It's because he was tired and hungry.
It just so happened that the height of the situation caused the cop to break down. And it just so
happened that the Dutch guy was "yelling" at him in question of the violence during that time. And to make it more "perfect", a photojournalist just so happened to shoot the scene. What do we get from this? A photo sensationalized by the media because it APPEARS to be a photo of a white guy yelling at a cop and making him cry. Media works like this because the photo plays into the emotion of the society, thus ranking up views for the newsites, therefore bringing in the money. Is this wrong of the media? Not really, but when the society takes it out of context, then uses that for their racist and hateful emotions, then there is a problem

How is racism involved in this?

First of all, there is a racial stereotype (generalization) involved. The stereotype is that white people think that they are better than Filipinos, and they arrogantly look down on the Filipinos as if they are an inferior race. A lot of comments showed that people thought of the Dutch guy like that. When they see a white guy appearing to yell at a policeman in a photo, they think that he must be another arrogant white guy who thinks he is better than Filipinos. To make it worse, the cop was crying, not because he felt insulted of course, but the people seeing the photo thought the cop was crying because he was insulted. Why? Because they thought the white guy thought he was better than Filipinos, thu she was arrogantly verbally “attacking” the cop. If it was a photo of a Filipino yelling at the cop, the photo might go ignored, or, if not ignored, the person might not be harshly criticized, especially with regard to race. If it was just a photo of a white guy yelling at cop, it might have annoyed some, but probably not like this did. But when it is a photo of a white guy yelling at a crying cop, then the people feel like their race is, once more, being attacked by some imaginary “colonial force”; an arrogant racist white foreigner. But this is delusional... Yet, sadly, many people commented in anger based on that perspective; racial discrimination and reading a book by its cover

Thomas Van Beersum says ,"So trolls, let me get this straight. You would denounce a foreigner taking part in a political rally fighting for the rights of Filipinos and denouncing the violence used against Filipino activists because of "foreign meddling into Filipino affairs", but are you even slightly concerned when foreigners are killed by government forces in the Philippines such as Father Fausto Tentorio on October 17, 2011 or my friend Willem Geertman on July 3, 2012, or when foreign multinational companies such as Xstrata-SMI destroy the environment, steal the resources and even have been linked to political killings, or simply to the fact that the Philippines is still a puppet regime and one of the closest strategic allies of US imperialism? If you are consistent, you should also criticize the multinational companies and the imperialist governments who have been meddling a lot more into Filipino affairs than one Dutch activist with wannabe Wolverine sideburns."

Thomas Van Beersum Says Today 8/7/2013 "Am now in Hong Kong waiting for my flight back to Amsterdam. I was not allowed to board my plane and to go back to my country yesterday morning. I got detained for about 30 hours at the airport just so the immigration officials could deport me. This harassment is obviously done to distract the people from the actual problems that the country faces, such as the almost total domination of its economy by foreign capitalists and the complicity of comprador puppets such as Aquino. And let's not forget the human rights abuses under Aquino's administration either. So far there have been 142 documented cases of extrajudicial killing and 164 frustrated killing; 16 incidents of enforced disappearance; 76 cases of torture and 293 cases of illegal arrest and detention.

I want to thank the people and groups that have been supporting me and although I've been blacklisted, I will still firmly support the just struggle of the Filipino people for social and national liberation. Mabuhay!"

When this happens, as in, a foreigner is perceived to be “attacking” the Filipino ego, the society will then go nuts over it. Many have seen this in the media several times before. Some Filipinos even were disgusted at this behavior from their own countrymen and have called it “stupid Pinoy Pride”. Some Psychologists in the past have called this behavior “Amor propio”, relating it to sensitivity to criticism. Others saw it not just as a sensitive reaction to criticism, but a reaction when the criticism is from non-Filipinos. This would cause some others to be angry at the society for double standards; for making fun of other nationalities and races, laughing about it, yet going crazy when another nationality says something about them that might not even have been insulting. One recent example of this is when Justin Bieber made fun of Manny Pacman out of sport satire, yet many, although not all, within Filipino society felt insulted. This led some government officials to angrily tell Justin that he might be banned from entering the country. It’s overreacting, right? Well, that’s what happened with this case too.

What was the end result? Comments insulting the Dutch guy personally. Of course, some of these comments were angry at his political beliefs, Communism, which is understandable in terms of political debate (although some of the political insults were illogical). But a good many of them attacked him based on his race and nationality. Calling him an insult coupled with an emphasis on his race or nationality is already using is race as a token of insult. I saw stuff like “Flying Dutchman”, “White Monkey”, and “Typical Arrogant Stupid White Guy”. As I said in my previous paragraph, the mere unconscious stereotype upon white males appearing to express anger before a Filipino will drive people to fixate on his race/nationality, thus these racist remarks. To make things more disgusting, people were asking for his arrest or his deportation (this is also disturbing in terms on “Freedom of Speech”), and worse, even his execution or have him handed over to the one commenting, or locals, to kill him themselves. What sense is in this idea of slaughtering a white person over appearing to make a cop cry? None. Just pure senselessness and criminality.

In the end, all I saw from the majority of people commenting on the newsites, were delusional racists and murderers at heart. This reflects badly on our Filipino society. I would like to say that please FILIPINO PEOPLE... we should think first why that foreign person do that actions... maybe because there's a proper reason involve about politics and it's neutrality as well as the government snailed management and the way they approach with it, Hence about the cop crying he  cry maybe because he cannot depend his owned self into that rally actions which is police can't provide the proper empowerment of it's groups.People should think about who really is right.

Exploding Toads in Humburg Germany

Exploding Toads in Humburg Germany!!!

A day of spring in Humburg Germany German female toads are ready for ovulation. Every toads has it's own creations of finding it's partner.Late days in Humburg germany whispering and talking about a Thousands of toads exploding in the area of Humburg,Germany.Reported in 2005 a truly bizarre case of exploding of toads , are just really big speculations needed to be investigate and whys that happened in that particular place, is there any science fictions, or it's a natural variation type of cause of exploding toads.

As i seen the pictures and the videos as reported , I can't really imagine things how hard to watch and explained about things was happened to a small creation of nature.
It's left onlookers baffled. The pond water in Hamburg has been tested, but its quality is no better or worse than elsewhere in the city. The toad remains have been checked for a virus or bacterium, but none has been found.

Here's a Report:

Exploding toads baffle Germans
Corpses litter Hamburg 'pond of death'
By Lester Haines

Posted in Science, 28th April 2005 10:18 GMT
The Register

"German toad experts are baffled by an acute outbreak of exploding toad syndrome which has totalled hundreds of the amphibians since the beginning of the month. The former inhabitants of a Hamburg pond - now chillingly renamed the "pond of death" - spontaneously swelled to enormous proportions before going bang, in the process propelling their entrails for up to a metre.

Hamburg nature protection society spokesman,

Werner Smolnik, told the Hamburger Abendblatt daily: "It looks like a scene from a science-fiction movie. The bloated animals suffer for several minutes before they finally die."

Janne Kloepper, a boffin at Hamburg-based Institute for Hygiene and the Environment, added: "It's absolutely strange. We have a really unique story here in Hamburg. This phenomenon really doesn't seem to have appeared anywhere before." She added that lab tests have ruled out a bacteriological or viral cause of the explosions, and have further shown the pond water to be normal. Tests for another possible agent - a fungus accidentally introduced from South America - have also proved negative.

The authorities have moved swiftly to protect the public from the exploding toad menace. The pond is now closed and a biologist is on station every night between 2 and 3am, when toad explosions reach a peak.

In Australia, meanwhile, we're certain that toadologists are awaiting with eager anticipation the identification of the cause of the exploding German toad. Oz currently hosts 100 million unwelcome cane toads and there's nothing the Aussies would like more than to see a landscape littered with the corpses of eviscerated, exploded toads."

Imagine that!  Swelling prior to explosion, going bang,  propelling entrails, protecting the public from the 'menace', a biologist on duty, explosions that reach a peak during 2/3 am, Aussies waiting to find the reason so that they might employ it against their own amphibian horde.  My mental picture grew much more complex.  My fits of giggles happened more frequently.

Werner Smolnik, identified as a Hamburg nature protection society spokesman, stated on April 26, 2005 that in the previous four days, at least 4,000 toads in Hamburg had died by explosion.  "It could be an unknown virus, or a fungus that has infected, or a defense mechanism against aggressive crows,...but we haven't a clue.  Soon there will be no toads left! "

There have also been reports of exploded toads in a pond near Laasby in central Jutland in Denmark.Local environmental workers in Hamburg have described it as a scene out of a horror or science fiction movie, with the bloated frogs agonizing and twitching for several minutes, inflating like balloons before they suddenly burst. Hamburg's Institute for Hygiene and the Environment regularly tests water quality in the city and has found no evidence the toads were diseased. The institute also ruled out a fungus brought in from South America was infecting the toads.
Other theories have been that horses on a nearby track might have infected the amphibians with a virus, or even that the toads are committing suicide to save others from overpopulation.
"Frank Mutschmann found all had identical circular incisions on their backs, small enough to be the work of a bird's beak.  'There were no bite or scratch marks, so we knew the toads weren't being attacked by a raccoon or rat, which would also have eaten the entire toad,' he said.  'It was clearly the work of crows, which are clever enough to know the toad's skin is toxic and realise the liver is the only part worth eating.  Only once the liver is gone does the toad realise it's being attacked.  It puffs itself up as a natural defence mechanism.  But since it doesn't have a diaphragm or ribs, without the liver there is nothing to hold the rest of it's organs in.  The lungs stretch out of all proportion and rip; the rest of the organs simply expel themselves. ''The toads' grisly deaths are, in fact, a well-documented phenomenon.  First recorded in Germany in 1968, exploding toads have been reported in the country, as well as Belgium, Denmark and America.  Hamburg's toads started to explode during their week-long mating season."

Is it indeed likely that several thousand toads were killed by crows?  If thousands of crows were pecking thousands of toads causing them to explode in response, how is it possible no one noticed?  Not one eyewitness report even mentions crows.
I should think the toad would bloat very rapidly once it was under attack.  Perhaps it takes hours for your average toad to notice it's liver has been violently removed.  This could cause it to "bloat" and explode after the fact when there are no crows present.NO toads died afterwards.  Not one.  No blown apart toads, mating season or not.  No toads exploded in Hamburg in 2006 or 2007 or any of the years that have passed since.  No flocks of starving crows desperately searching for toads have been spotted. And I can't STOP nagging a Questions.!!??

Could hungry crows be a reasonable answer???

What were these tests for a fungus accidentally introduced from South America about?  Does fungus in South America cause local toads to explode?? " Og Ngano kaha nga ang gagmay  nga matang sa hayop ga padayon ang mestiryo sa pagkapatay sa mga BAKI "??.
Also, how on earth does a crow figure out that the only eatable part of a toad is the liver?  How does it figure out how to extract the aforementioned liver without the toad noticing?  How is it that I, who spent a boyhood around frogs, toads, crows and ponds have never seen this?  Why 2005 and never before or since? What does the mating season have to do with it?  Don't crows get hungry and toads have livers all year round?  Why do toad explosions peak between 2 and 3 am?  How loud is the explosion?  Why doesn't the toad hop away when attacked by the crow?  How fast can a crow peck out the toads liver?

I followed this up on the net but found no information.  All leads about exploding amphibians of any kind lead back to Hamburg. But as I research about NOT only amphibians are kinda do explode. Uncommon Explosion Animals are an event arising through natural causes or human activity.Other instances of exploding animals are defensive in nature or the result of human intervention.

In the meantime, officials in Hamburg have advised residents to stay away from the pond, which German tabloids have dubbed "the death pool."
Initial theories had included a viral or fungal infection, possibly one also affecting foreign horses involved in racing at a nearby track. However, laboratory tests were unable to detect an infectious agent.

The fact of the matter is that No One Knows.........as i always think and say to my self there would be a main reason why this was happened in our Ecodiversity. God created Animals to engage with HUMAN ECOSYSTEM as well as BALANCE in our Nature.

$AVE P5,000 In 30 Days!!!

$AVE P5,000 In 30 Days!!!

-Saving money is no fun, especially if you’re majorly scrimping on yourself.

We believe being “Matipid or Economically” isn’t all about painful sacrifices. You’ll be surprised how little changes in your spending habits can amount to big, big savings.

Save:P1,000 TO 1,500

Instead of shelling out for a gym membership, try brisk-walking as an alternative. “ Walking provides a low-impact but well-rounded and vigorous physical activity.

Save:P500

Bring your own water to school or work---- P25 for a one-liter bottle might not seem like much on a daily basis, but it will significantly add to your monthly expenses.

Save: P100 TO P150

Too much junk in your trunk???..... For every 12 to 15 kilogram of extra weight, your car consumes roughly 2.5 percent more fuel, so get rid of that excess baggage. Also, Turning off the A/C when traveling early in the morning or late at the night will save you money at the pump.

Save: P250

Satisfy your craving for Italian food by whipping up something new. Try this recipe for Spicy Angel Hair Pasta ( Serves Two) :
Heat ¼  cup of olive oil with ½ teaspoon of red chili flakes; let cool and mix with ¼ cup chopped flat-leaf parsley, one tablespoon of lemon zest, ½ cup of lemon juice, and salt to taste. Toss with cooked angel hair pasta and season to taste, then top with parmesan cheese. Something this good will cost twice as much at a resto!

Save: P350 TO P400

DIY mani-pedis and eyebrow grooming let you pocket lots of extra cash. As a treat, you can even get yourself some fancy nail polish or hand cream with the tip money.

Save: P400 TO P450

For your twice-a-week caffeine fix, buy a pack of your favourite blend, and brew your own take-out coffee at home. That’s P400 for a longer-lasting bag of beans versus about P110 for every latté.

Save: P1,500 TO P200

If you have a perfectly serviceable pair of heels save for worn-out soles, don’t chuck them out just yet. Mr.Quickie can resole starting at P200 , saving you a lot of moolah.

Save: P150 TO P200

Instead of buying pre-cut fruit, head to the unpackaged produce section. Pine apple chunks ( P25 for about a third of a whole ) may be  more convenient, but a whole pineapple , P30, isn’t something you can’t conquer with a sharp knife and a bit of patience.

Save: P250 TO P300

Margarita nights out???..... Fun---but at P300 per pitcher , it’s expensive. Mixing your own drinks at home is just as fun, and cheaper , too, at P250 for the same volume. Tip: Add the juice of two to three limes to the store-bought mix for fresher tasting cocktails.

Save: P250 TO P200

Make money from today’s news. Hang on to daily copies of broadsheets and magazines and sell them to junk shop. Your nieghborhood “Mambobote” can buy bottles, too, while some roving collectors buy cartons and paper on a per-kilo basis.

Still puffing on the death sticks??... Adopt a cleaner and thriftier lifestyle and kick the smoking habit once and for all. It’s not just about the extra cash today, but also about a healthier ( and longer) life ahead of you.

$aving money
is so important for many
reasons. Some of the reasons that saving money is so important have to do with security and safety, while other important reasons for saving money have more to do just with the practical aspect of trying to plan ahead for major expenses. In terms of emergencies, it is so important to be saving money. While no one likes to think about the possibility that they will lose their job, become disabled, or have some other sort of disastrous financial crisis, the fact of the matter is that it happens to people all of the time.

Even much smaller emergencies, such as needing car repairs, are better handled by having saved money along the way, as opposed to having to scrape money together during a crisis. Saving money is so important for these types of situations. If at all possible, you should have a savings of three months worth of your expenses to help in case of emergencies.

Saving money is important for planning ahead, too. Almost every parent would like to see their children go to college, for example. However, many children will not be able to go to college on scholarships. Those that do not will either have to find a way to pay for college or to take out student loans. Student loans may not even cover all of their expenses. Saving money is an important part of providing for your child or childrens’ education. Education is not the only area that parents should save for, in regard to their children. For example, in the same way that parents save money as an important part of education, they may also save money for their childrens weddings, or to help their child buy their first car, or even their first home.

Finally, saving money can be an important part of just enjoying life. Taking a trip to Disney World is a lot more enjoyable when you know that you have paid for the trip with money from savings, as opposed to using credit cards and having to pay for the trip for years to come.
